What is Aeron?

Aeron is a family of AI products for flight simulation by Vemryx Aviation. Aeron Copilot is a virtual pilot that flies as pilot flying and pilot monitoring. Aeron ATC is an air traffic controller you talk to by voice.

Is Aeron available?

Not yet. Aeron Copilot and Aeron ATC are in development. There is no download and no release date.

Which simulator and aircraft does it support?

The current development build of Aeron Copilot targets Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and the FlyByWire A32NX, on Windows, with a SimBrief account.

Will other aircraft or simulators come?

Planned for later: the FlyByWire A380X, the iniBuilds A350 and a teaching mode. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and X-Plane are not part of the first version of Aeron ATC. Nothing has a date.

Which languages does it speak?

Today Aeron Copilot talks to you in Brazilian Portuguese and uses Airbus callouts in English. Aeron ATC speaks English with FAA phraseology; radio in Portuguese is not in the first version. This website is in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Is Aeron ATC a separate product?

Yes. Aeron ATC replaces the simulator’s built-in ATC and works with Aeron Copilot, which speaks on the same radio while it flies.

Can I take over?

Always. Touch the sidestick, the thrust levers or the pedals and the controls are yours. A STOP button, or saying “stop”, is always one click away; in flight it stops commanding and leaves the autopilot and autothrust as they are.

Does it handle failures and emergencies?

Not yet. Abnormals and emergencies are the next phase of Aeron Copilot, and declared emergencies are not in the first version of Aeron ATC.

Does it work on online networks?

No. Online networks are not supported in the first version of Aeron ATC. It replaces the simulator’s built-in controller.

How much will it cost?

Not announced.

How do I follow the progress?

The roadmap on this site shows the current status of each part. You can also write to us by email or WhatsApp.

Are the photographs yours?

The aircraft photographs come from Wikimedia Commons under open licenses, and the credits page names every author and license. The simulator captures are our own.

Is it for real aircraft?

No. Aeron is made for flight simulation only.
